Jesus Garcia, piano instructor,

received his Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance from the Conservatory of Music of Mexico State (COMEM), under the direction of Professor Manuel de La Flor (2003). In spring 2010, Mr. Garcia completed his Masters of Music in Piano Performance at Roosevelt University, Chicago, Ill. Renowned Mexican pianist Jorge Federico Osorio was his advisor and professor. Mr. Garcia was the piano instructor for the Musical Education Bachelor Program at COMEM (Mexico), as well as the accompanist for viola and voice students. He held these positions for four years (2003-2007). In addition, Mr. Garcia also served as the titular pianist of the Youth Symphonic Orchestra of Mexico State for three years (2004-2007).   Jesus Garcia performed as a soloist at concerts with several Mexican orchestras. Major pieces in the repertoire included Beethoven's No. 5, Grieg's Piano Concerto, Bach's Piano Concerto in F Minor, Khachaturian's Piano Concerto and Symphonic Rhapsody by Turina. As a recitalist, he performed in numerous festivals and at famous Mexican venues displaying a wide varied repertory that includes works from the Baroque era to works of the XX century. While studying at Roosevelt, Jesus Garcia showcased his talent by playing with the University's Wind Ensemble Orchestra, as they performed works by Tichelli and Maslanka. He also gave recitals at Roosevelt University's Ganz Hall, the Sherwood Conservatory and the Fine Arts Building.  Mr. Garcia performs as a soloist and with different musical groups in the Chicago area, displaying his gifts in a wide variety of styles and genres.
