Suzuki Piano Instructor
The Suzuki piano instructor position is a part time position. Duties include teaching individual and group piano lessons to students ages 3 and up. Successful candidate will have minimum 3 years teaching experience, be Suzuki-trained and demonstrate passion for the Suzuki Method. The candidate must have the ability to work well and cheerfully with small children, and possess a high level of musical skill. Teaching schedule is flexible according to the needs of students and instructors. Once hired, the teacher will receive additional training and will be a part of a team of teachers. Qualifications: B.M. in piano performance and/or piano pedagogy. SAA registered training through Suzuki Book 1. Other skills: organization, good communication skills with young children and parents, collaboration with colleagues, enthusiasm, lesson planning. Salary: Hourly, commensurate with experience, partial reimbursement of further Suzuki training.
