Musical Mornings

In addition to long-term partnership programs, we do many one-time or short-term programs with community organizations.

Hyde Park Suzuki Institute students are available for brief performances during the school day. This is a great way for students to be exposed to music and to be inspired by the achievements of their peers.

Our first Musical Morning performance was at Shoesmith Elementary School in Chicago's Kenwood neighborhood on March 23, 2012. See photos and video at right. Both HPSI and Shoesmith students loved the ability to connect with each other!

Our second Musical Morning performance was part of MakeMusic Chicago. Our violin, cello, and piano students did a wonderful job performing in the Performance Penthouse at the University of Chicago's brand-new Logan Center for the Arts. See photos at right.
